On December 28, 2023, Sichuan Radio and Television Station pioneered the launch of the Southwest region's first full-process virtual production and high-tech audiovisual creation base—the "Illusion Vision Digital Audiovisual Creative Base"—along with an XR multimodal live broadcast studio. This milestone marks SRTV's comprehensive entry into the new domain of "high-tech digital audiovisual content creation and production, and technical service provision," inaugurating a new journey.

Over the years, Sichuan Radio and Television Station has conducted in-depth exploration and practice in technological innovation, gradually establishing high-tech audiovisual production capabilities including high-precision animation creation, digital scene production, AIGC semantically-driven digital human creation, and rapid 3D scanning and modeling. The completion of the XR multimodal live broadcast studio represents a significant milestone for SRTV in creating new formats for high-tech video and accelerating the formation of an innovation industrial chain, making it the first broadcasting institution in the Southwest region to complete the construction of a full-process virtual production business system.

Leveraging the technical productivity of the XR multimodal live broadcast studio, SRTV will engage in extensive collaboration with industry ecosystem partners across sectors such as cultural tourism, museums and cultural heritage, entertainment, scientific research, and education, promoting the deep integration of art and technology. Simultaneously, SRTV will strengthen the supply of high-tech audiovisual content including ultra-high-definition video, immersive video, and interactive video, providing holographic, immersive, and interactive program experiences.

The studio covers a total area of approximately 260 square meters and is equipped with an 8K resolution full-scene primary color LED screen provided by Showho, with an area of 126 square meters. Through the advanced LED display system, the studio can create highly precise realistic environments, achieving performance effects that blend virtual and real elements, providing creators with unlimited possibilities in time, space, and imagination.

Focusing on building full-process professional teams for high-tech digital audiovisual content creation, SRTV has established multiple creative studios, including: the Shitieshou Visual Creative Studio specializing in performance-based virtual reality projects; the Chuanzhen Yingxian Creative Studio skilled in interview-style virtual-real combination projects; the Lengcifang Virtual Art Studio and the Super Geometry Virtual Imaging Studio, both proficient in virtual scene production and high-precision animation; and the Panda Picture Visual Studio. The core members of these studios primarily come from Sichuan Satellite TV and the Gold Panda New Media Company, collectively forming the Illusion Vision Digital Audiovisual Creative Base of Sichuan Radio and Television Station.
